SENTINEL — Policy.

Whether activity is allowed. SENTINEL provides screening and policy surfaces designed to govern geo, product and rule decisions within the configured data and approval boundary.

What SENTINEL owns

  • Sanctions and geo controls: prohibited countries, restricted regions, local override rules
  • Age gating, risky-product rules and payment-method visibility
  • Screening result and disposition surfaces; the reviewed source is a labelled demonstration list, not complete sanctions, PEP or adverse-media coverage
  • Designed policy lifecycle: draft → approve → activate → rollback, with each action subject to implemented permissions and evidence
  • Rule and threshold governance for the PULSE runtime

Dispositioning screening hits

Open the hit

Console → Policy → Screening lists hits with match strength, list source and list version.

Compare

The disposition screen shows the party's data against the list entry — names, dates, identifiers, aliases.

Decide

Record true match or false positive with rationale where the workflow supports it. Retention and suppression behavior across list updates must be tested.

Escalate if true

A configured true-match workflow may open a DOCKET case. Blocking requires maker-checker only where that action has the control enabled and verified.

The policy lifecycle

SENTINEL is designed to treat policies as versioned artifacts. Draft comparison, second-person approval, activation, rollback, as-of reads and audit events are separate behaviors: confirm each in the selected environment. Do not describe a draft as production or an activation as instant without current evidence.

Why version context matters

A historic decision stays inspectable only when it records the applicable policy and list versions. Changing a rule need not rewrite that record, but list-load and affected-hit evidence exists only where the producing workflow captured it.

Vertical policy packs

Vertical policy packs can be designed as starting templates for gambling, crypto, marketplaces, high-risk e-commerce and AI content. They require tenant-specific legal, risk and data review; availability of a template does not establish regulatory compliance or make every gate active.
